The Group 1 action reaches its climax on the third day of the Ebor Festival this year when the 2021 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes takes centre stage heading into a manic weekend of action at York.

It’s not long now until the 2020 St. Leger Stakes race, which will take place on Saturday, 12th September, and which forms part of the larger, four-day St. Leger Festival.

The St. Leger Stakes will run September 9th to 12th at Doncaster Racecourse and will be one of the biggest festivals to take place after horse racing restarted in June.

Unfortunately, this year’s event will not see the average 58,000 attendees turn out as all of the races will be held behind closed doors.

This year’s Doncaster January Sale will differ from its normal format and has been split into two parts: part 1, a timed online sale of breeding stock and horses-in-training (26 January) and part 2, a physical sale of NH weanlings at the Doncaster Sales Complex (17 February).

Joseph O'Brien sealed a jockey-trainer St Leger double as Galileo Chrome won the final British Classic of 2020.

It was a case of smiles all-round in the beautiful Yorton ‘round yard’ sale ring as the hammer came down on the final lot to complete another very pleasing year for the now annual Goffs UK Yorton Sale.

From 9-12 September will be the first of three horse racing venues allowing spectators to return to the sport. The St Leger is the final Classic of 2020, the other four having been held behind closed doors due to Covid-19.

The Goffs Orby Sale, which will be held in Goffs’ British Sales Complex in Doncaster, will start a day earlier than announced last week following wide consultation with a range of vendors. The one day change is designed to ensure that every Orby lot will receive maximum time and attention from potential purchasers whilst it will also enable vendors selling in the following weeks’ Tattersalls October Book 1 Yearling Sale an additional vital 24 hours to transition between Doncaster and Newmarket.

Doncaster Premier Sale 2YOs are enjoying a superb year on the track with nine Stakes winners and counting and FEV ROVER added her name alongside this season’s elite 2YOs with a determined win in Saturday’s Gr.2 Shadwell Prix du Calvados at Deauville.
