At the helm will be Hollywood film producer, George Waud, who is singularly the largest investor in this modern organisation.

Last year, George, who worked on titles such as Terminal and Snakes On A Plane, purchased a significant investment share in Old Gold Racing and purchased 30 shares for Christmas presents for friends and family!

Speaking about his passion for affordable racehorse ownership, George Waud, said: “Horseracing and films both offer success and uncertainty - whether your film or horse is going to perform well – but that is what makes it exciting. "It's great fun having an interest in a horse.

I've owned shares of racehorses for a while, but when you're on-course or watching the telly it's just 'your horse', regardless of how much you own. “Having a horse trained by Paul Nicholls doesn't get any better than that; and I know Old Gold Racing will provide its members with many rewarding and thrilling experiences.”

The Old Gold Racing tour started last Saturday at Warwick Racecourse and the team will head to Wincanton Racecourse this Thursday, 16th January for the Healthy Pets Somerset National Raceday.

Subsequent racedays include Taunton Racecourse on Saturday 18th January, Cheltenham on 25th January and Exeter Racecourse in early February.

The Wincanton raceday also marks the syndicate’s first owners gathering with a private hospitality suite for current Old Gold Racing members. Ed Seyfried, Chief Executive and Founder of Old Gold Racing, added: “We are delighted with the interest in Bob Pebble and forecast the complete sale of our inaugural racehorse to coincide perfectly with his UK racing debut. “As we strive forward welcoming a new and diverse audience to the world of horseracing through our cost-effective ownership experience, will we also be looking to launch our digital app as well as adding a new horse to the clan.”

Shares in Old Gold Racing are available at £65 for an annual term ending 31.01.2021.

Providing the latest update on Bob Pebble – Old Gold Racing’s inaugural racehorse, Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer to Paul Nicholls, said: “Bob Pebble has fitted well into his training regime at Ditcheat and is showing a good attitude and ability for a five-year-old. “He is cantering regularly and recovering from his flu jab.

Spring bumper races will be our target for this nice progressive horse.”
