Wolverhampton News - Update: Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (Casual Workers)

Published 2020/05/07

In line with this, we can now confirm that all casual workers who were on our payroll on or before 28th February 2020 have been designated furloughed workers with effect from 1st April 2020.

Any casual workers who had been removed from our payroll before 28th February 2020 (and who would have received a P45) will not be eligible for the scheme.

We are currently undertaking the process of ascertaining what each of these payments will be for each individual, all the time following government guidelines.

Further information on this can be found here - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/check-if-you-could-be-covered-by-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme

Once this process is completed we will write to Casual Workers individually to inform you about what this scheme means to you.

We hope to be in a position to start issuing individual letters to workers by 3rd April 2020.

We know that you and your families are keen to hear news as soon as possible.

Please be assured that we continue to work at pace to ensure that we can communicate the latest updates with you as quickly as we can, so please bear with us at this time.
