The exciting young sire Time Test stands at the National Stud A dual Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placed himself in a race career that spanned four seasons, TIME TEST has enjoyed a remarkable strike rate of black type performers from his first crop with five of his eleven winners earning black type to date. The son of DUBAWI was the leading European first crop sire by black type winners last year and agent Ross Doyle secured the breeding right to the exciting young stallion with a bid of 115,000 guineas.

Following the sale Doyle commented;

“He’s a young sire going places, by a top sire in Dubawi out of a well bred Dansili mare which we love. It sounds like he’s got a serious book of mares lined up for this season on the back of his stats and the physicals of his foals and yearlings on show at the recent sales. The team at the National Stud continue to do a great job with him. We have bought it for a client who will support him with a very nice mare.”

TIME TEST covered his largest book to date at the National Stud in 2021 and is already the sire of the Group 3 winners ROCCHIGIANI and ROMANTIC TIME, Listed winners TARDIS and THE KING’S HORSES, and the Group 1 placed SUNSET SHIRAZ. His yearlings were in great demand during the autumn, selling for up to 400,000 guineas.

“I had the pleasure of seeing Lope Y Fernandez recently and thought he had let down into a lovely stallion. He is a great walker and lovely type and an exciting young stallion and Brook Stud are looking forward to supporting him.”

A’ALI, a triple Group 2 winner at two, will stand his first season at Newsells Park Stud

A’ALI looks to be a stallion of significant promise and a breeding right to Newsells Park Stud’s son of SOCIETY ROCK realised 22,000 guineas to the Gleeson brothers Aughamore Stud. His two-year-old season saw three Group 2 victories headlined by the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot as well as the Prix Robert Papin and the Flying Childers resulting in him ending the year as the highest rated two-year-old in Europe over five furlongs. A’ALI added wins in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes and Group 3 Coral Charge at three and retires as the highest rated son on Timeform ratings of the ill-fated Champion European First Season Sire SOCIETY ROCK.

Aughamore Stud’s Laurence Gleeson commented;

“We are thrilled to have acquired a breeding right in A’Ali. He is a beautiful horse with terrific presence and brings plenty of precocity, plus there will not be too many on this side of the Irish Sea.”
