The Richard Fahey-trained six-year-old, also successful three times on the Flat at Musselburgh, is out of the late prolific winning mare Cosmic Case who won 18 of her 147 races on the Flat and over jumps.

Cosmic Case, who carries the green, black and white colours of her owners The Cosmic Cases, gained seven on her wins (five on the Flat and two over hurdles) around Musselburgh and another of her offspring, Cosmic Tigress was also a two-time winner at the track.

Meanwhile Royal Cosmic has been raised 7lbs for her one and three-quarter length course and distance success as she is reunited with highflying Brian Hughes.

The likely favourite is Blooriedotcom for the Blair Campbell and Lucinda Russell combination.

He gained his maiden strike over hurdles in early January and has since finished a close second on Musselburgh’s Scottish Cheltenham Trials weekend.

Dumfriesshire-based trainer Daragh Bourke has the hot favourite in Old Jewry in the opening #jumpingforjoy On RacingTV Handicap Chase.

The gelding has been running over hurdles for his Waterbeck handler and reverts to fences for the first time since a promising third placed debut in the autumn at Kelso when under the care of Linda Perratt.
