From the carnival atmosphere and picnics on the Hill, to top hat and tails in the Queen’s Stand and upbeat musical entertainment, topped off by an epic after-party on the Hyperion Lawn in the Grandstand, Epsom Derby Day delivers a truly quintessentially British experience.

Amongst the seven races is the Supreme Test of the Racehorse, The Derby.

The one everyone wants to win, with a prize pot of £1.5 million.

Each year 125,000 people flock to Epsom Downs on the first weekend in June to celebrate this historic and quintessentially British sporting event.

Epsom Downs Racecourse, a picturesque venue situated on the North Downs that offer panoramic views of London, plays host to two days of high class racing, fashion and entertainment.

To this day, The Derby remains the race that everyone around the world wants to win and boasts an unrivalled roll of honour.

First run in 1779, there are few thoroughbred races that can match the Epsom Derby for history and prestige; the number of international races modelled on this Classic is testament to its stature as the “Blue Riband” of the turf.
