The Stewards found that the rider and trainer had intentionally failed to ensure that their horse ran on its merits.

The matter was referred by the Stewards to the BHA Head Office.

LA TRINIDAD was suspended from running for 40 days.

2. This hearing was adjourned from Thursday 31 October 2019 in order for expert veterinary evidence to be obtained.

4. Guideline penalties for the Rules in question are as follows: Rules (F)37 (rider) and F(39) (trainer/owner) - intentionally not riding a horse on its merits that would not have finished first, second or third: Guideline entry point: suspend 42 days (rider), £7,500 fine (trainer/owner) Guideline range: suspend 28 - 90 days (rider), £5,000 - £25,000/suspend 1 month - 3 months (trainer/owner)
