We started with our jump season launch in October, where we had the opportunity to catch up with some of the county’s top jump trainers and jockeys, as well as seeing some star horses gallop. These included Definitly Red, Top Ville Ben and Vintage Clouds. All three of Yorkshire’s courses will be jump racing this month. There’s Peaky Blinders themes at Wetherby on 16th November and at Doncaster on Saturday 30th November, the second day of their beer festival, where the ‘Cheeky Blinders’ will be performing after racing. Jumping gets underway at Catterick on Friday 22nd November. And hot off the press, a new fixture has been added at Doncaster on Thursday 12th March. Take a look at the video from our jump racing launch.

Unfortunately the Best Dressed Lady Final  had to be postponed following the cancellation of Doncaster Races at the end of October, however the ladies will be re-arranging hair appointments for Saturday 9th November and we look forward to welcoming them to the November Handicap meeting at Doncaster. Future Stars Apprentice Series It started at the very beginning of the flat season at Doncaster and it will finish at the end of the Yorkshire season at the same course. The final of the Go Racing In Yorkshire Future Stars Apprentice Series takes place at Doncaster on Saturday 9th November and although last year’s winner Kieran Schofield heads the table again it is by no means done and dusted! A win for any of the jockeys at the top of the leader board could earn them the fabulous prize of sponsorship by Go Racing In Yorkshire, which includes a cash prize, plus a saddle worth £500 from White Rose Saddlery.
