Tattersalls Cheltenham 17th December Sale to be held at Park Paddocks, Newmarket

The Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale (2) which was scheduled to take place at Fairyhouse on 17th December, will now take place at the world renowned Tattersalls Headquarters of Park Paddocks in Newmarket.

The fixture will remain on its original date but due to a change in Government travel advice, it will now take place in the United Kingdom and not in Ireland.

This is owing to Irish participants now being able to return home with greater ease ahead of the Festive period.

Positive feedback from vendors and purchasers alike regarding the decision to hold the 3rd December Cheltenham Sale at Park Paddocks has also contributed to the decision to switch the 17th December date to the same venue.

Tattersalls Cheltenham identified in July that there was going to be an extended Autumn season and therefore a requirement for additional capacity for sales in December 2020.

By holding two sales in December, Tattersalls is able to cater for the increased number of point to pointers that will be offered for sale as a result of the increase in fixtures.

The established Newmarket venue will provide a vibrant market place for vendors to showcase their customary quality stock that is the hallmark of Tattersalls Cheltenham.

Recent graduates of the Cheltenham December Sale include Shishkin, Sir Gerhard, Chantry House, Chris's Dream, True Self and Visionarian.

All lots will be sold with pre-sale veterinary certificates and horses will be available to view from Wednesday 16th December.
