THIS IS PRIME TIME ????????
Saturday night, 9.41pm or thereabouts UK time, is one such occasion. You'll be aware of the Irish lad City Of Troy, Dewhurst, Derby, Eclipse and Juddmonte International hero. And you're forgiven if you're less familiar with Fierceness, Breeders' Cup Juvenile and Travers Stakes top dog; and Forever Young, the Japanese upstart arguably robbed of victory in the Kentucky Derby and here to exact revenge on the horse, Sierra Leone, who burgled him in the dying strides of the Run for the Roses. It's a manga narrative in quadruped form: tip top equines from three continents, all with so much proven and yet so much to prove, all zeroed in on the same single assignment, the Breeders' Cup Classic. But this year's race is deeper than just three (or four) horses, all with red corner claims and blue corner questions. It's a bona fide inscrutable conundrum. Hallelujah! To help you deconstruct the plot lines, or simply to get vaguely familiar with the characters, I've gone deep, deep, deep, and opened them up... Start here: this is the geegeez Breeders' Cup home page. From here you can click to any race, or read the latest BC news and opinions. Then go here: that's a link to the Classic, but you can choose any race, and learn about its history, great winners, the trends, this year's contenders, and/or the pace setup and betting markets. From there, it's your choice as to what you do next. But one thing you should certainly do if you're free is tune in to the Classic, LIVE, shortly after 9.30pm Saturday night. It's an absolute Bobby Dazzler. If you're still not sold on why, click here. Matt p.s. be sure and check out geegeez on x for some extra bits from the Del Mar track as I get as close as I can to what is, this year, a legitimate Thoroughbred World Championships. Stay lucky, Matt p.s. if you don't love this year's Breeders' Cup, try harder! ;-) x twitter youtube Thanks for following geegeez.co.uk. You can also catch us on twitter/x and youtube...
