Bob Pebble was as short as 8/11 before starting at 9/4. The drift was entirely down to the winner, Beholden.
On Monday evening that horse was 8/1 but he went off 7/4 jolly.
The money was right.
It was Bob's second canter of what we believe will be a long career.
Old Gold Racing each way doubles showed a slight profit and owners have a little prize money to their names.
Next time we may be celebrating a different number.
A Bit of Bob, or a Dash of Darling?
Bob now goes over hurdles, Darling is still a novice.
