Recently launched racing syndicate carries on marching to the sound of the guns with the purchase of a second racehorse

Having encountered obstacles as perplexing as Becher’s Brook and then being faced with Covid-19, this industrious racehorse syndicate has decided not to conform to the societal norm.

Instead, Old Gold Racing has purchased a second horse - Darling Maltaix – and kept its owners updated with a plethora of racing-related content.

With shares starting from £60 for a fixed term, Old Gold Racing is also providing racing enthusiasts with post lockdown entertainment as both syndicate horses – Bob Pebble and Darling Maltaix – are targeting Newton Abbot’s Friday, 3rd July fixture, for when jump racing resumes.

Trained by Paul Nicholls, both horses are following a strict fitness regime and targeting the bumper and novice chase respectively.

Speaking about the stiff upper lip approach, Ed Seyfried, said:

“For racing to be cancelled, some three months after we launched, is merely a necessary hurdle, and a minor one.

“Whilst we are on lockdown, Old Gold Racing is forging ahead and providing our owners with great entertainment and thought-provoking distractions.

“The purchase of Darling Maltaix was too good of an opportunity to miss.

Paul (Nicholls) was very keen to retain the seven-year-old gelding within his 20-strong summer team and has promised our owners plenty of fun, which will be much needed after Covid-19!”

Shares in Darling Maltaix or Bob Pebble are available from £60 for a fixed term and can be purchased online from oldgoldracing.com or on 01242 650 630.
