Night Tornado confirms his supremacy Night Tornado, an obvious candidate for winning the Wielka Warszawska, did not disappoint his fans and claimed his third victory of the season in good style.

It was a splendid race for the horses from Krzysztof Ziemiański's stable as the second place went to Petit, who defeated Nemezis and Night Thunder before the finish line thanks to his brilliant performance.

The other major races also saw the favorites come out on top.

As expected it was the experienced John Egan riding Nania trained in Germany who set the pace.

The experienced jockey rode quite calmly, yet he gradually accelerated. Stefano Mura riding the highly-favored Night Tornado followed closely, immediately positioning himself behind the leader.

Further behind were Night Thunder and Hipop de Loire before Nemezis - Petit and Gancegal, who was closing the race.

Nania started attacking halfway through the turn, stretching the group a bit.

Night Tornado was able to keep up with her without much effort, whereas Night Thunder took advantage of the space on the inside, thus shortening his distance.

This helped him join the fight in the final stretch.

Halfway down the straight Stefano Mura gave a signal to accelerate and Night Tornado easily took the lead.

He left behind Night Thunder and Nemezis fighting each other as well as Nania, who was losing strength.

Meanwhile, ridden by Sergey Vasyutov, Petit accelerated from further behind.

He closed the gap to the frontrunners, moved up to the second place, but had no chance to attack the favorite.

The battle for the third place saw Nemezis defeat Night Thunder, who overtook Nania Night Tornado, trained by Krzysztof Ziemiański, was bred in Great Britain.

He came second in the Wielka Warszawska last year.

This year the horse owned by the Traks was unrivaled. It was the seventh victory in his career.

It is very likely that we will see Night Tornado back on track in a foreign race later this year.

This season he already came in second (losing by an inch) in Bratislava and third in a well-attended race in France.

Today trainer Krzysztof Ziemiański had more reasons to celebrate.

Another representative of his stable, the excellent miler Timemaster, claimed an unquestionable victory in the prestigious race for the Moszna Stakes, easily defeating his dangerous competitors.

It was the Czech jockey Martin Srnec who led him to victory for the Niespodzianka Stable and Marianna Surtel.

As far as two-year-olds competing at the non-group level are concerned, we also saw victories of highly rated horses.

When it comes to the battle of the top yearlings competing for the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Prize, Moonu, who had not been defeated in her previous two starts, showed her potential, yet she had to fight a fierce battle with the stallion Matt Machine until the very end.

Eventually, however, the horse ridden by Szczepan Mazur won for the third time for trainer Maciej Janikowski and Westminster Stable.

As far as the competition between fillies fighting in the Cardea Stakes is concerned, we saw a fierce battle between the Polish-bred Dakini and the French-bred Jenny of Success.

The latter was the first to cross the line, but a decision made by the Technical Committee changed the order, as the winner fouled her rival in the straight.

As a result of that, eventually the victory went to Dakini, trained by her breeder and owner Salih Plavac.
