Return Ticket, trained by Rebecca Menzies, was impressive as he landed the featured RacingTV.com Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase by six and a half lengths.

The County Durham raider was reappearing after wind surgery and he was very well backed in the closing stages eventually going off 7-4 favourite. Lucinda Russell and Derek Fox completed a quick-fire double when scoring with Celtic Flames and Mint Gold whom the Grand National-winning trainer rides out at home.

Fox said: “Celtic Flames loves it here although that was his first win at the track over hurdles. He’s won twice here over fences and the place suits him well.”

Robbie Dunne and Irish handler Ross O’Sullivan recorded their first Musselburgh winners when teaming up with Theatre World in the Legend Of The Saltire Handicap Chase.

Dunne said: “I only have Kelso and Sandown to go to have a winner at all the UK tracks and I’m only short of four in Ireland - Kilbeggan, Killarney, Listowel and Thurles.”
