Some of the highlights include Sam Spinner winning the Grade 2 bet 365 Novices’ Chase at Doncaster, Top Ville Ben taking the Grade 3 Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby and Lady Buttons winning back-to-back runnings of the MansionBet At Doncaster Yorkshire Silver Vase Mares’ Chase.

Outside of the county, Sue Smith’s Midnight Shadow won the Grade 2 Dipper Novices’ Chase at Cheltenham and on the human front, David O’Meara trained his 1,000th winner with Summerghand at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day.

With 21 jump meetings remaining in Yorkshire this season there is still a great deal to look forward to, including the North Yorkshire Grand National at Catterick Racecourse tomorrow.

Annual Awards Lunch

We had a wonderful time celebrating the achievements of Yorkshire racing at the annual awards lunch in December at York Racecourse.
