ROSE BANDIT bids for a third course success at Hamilton Park’s final fixture of the year on Monday. Ridden by Andrew Mullen and trained by Iain Jardine, she takes on three rivals in the £20,000 Equi’s Exquisitely Irresistible Ice-Cream Fillies’ Handicap over six-furlongs.

Jardine said: “She’s had a terrific season after winning a selling handicap over a shorter trip at Hamilton in June. She’s also won with cut at five and six-furlongs at Ayr this year as well so there aren’t any worries about the ground.”

The likely favourite is top-weight Ey Up It’s Maggie, who will be making her first appearance at the Lanarkshire track. Trained in Malton by Tony Coyle, she won impressive at Carlisle back in May and has since been placed twice in Class 2 company.

William Haggas has a near 30 per-cent strike-rate with his Newmarket raiders and Tarroob, who is reappearing after wind surgery, will be a popular order after two close seconds when sent off market leader at Newcastle and Wolverhampton during the summer.

Bang-in-form bargain buy Tilsitt, first and second on consecutive days at Ayr recently, is likely to go well again for his Ayrshire trainer Mike Smith.
