HAMILTON PARK preview By Gordon Brown

Kevin Ryan’s Yorkshire raider faces ten rivals, including four others previously successful over this stiff six-furlongs, in the Training Courses Available at scottishracingacademy.co.uk Handicap.

Hambleton-based Ryan has saddled 104 winners at the Lanarkshire venue - far more than he has recorded at any other of the UK’s turf tracks - and three of those victories have been achieved this year.

Conga registered a game all-the-way strike at Hamilton Park last autumn and races off a mark only 1lb higher this time.

Among the opposition are recent 20-1 C&D winner Zig Zag Zyggy for Jimmy Long’s Thistle Bloodstock and Jedd O’Keeffe-trained Turn To Rock who is likely to be one of the market principals after a comfortable win at Newmarket last month.

There is also a competitive look to the Visit racingtv.com Handicap over an extended 1m 1f. Top-weight Pour Me A Drink, trained by Keith Dalgleish, could go close as the horses that chased him home in second and third at Ayr last month have both boosted the form by scoring since.

Granite City Doc has won two of his three starts since moving to Mike Smith’s Galston yard in Ayrshire and reappears at the scene of his nail-biting nose triumph over slightly shorter twelve days ago.
