Rockfield Farm provided the top lot of the day’s trade with their son of Footstepsinthesand (Lot 647 - pictured), an own-brother to 2020 winning two-year-old Star Of Orion, selling to Kevin Ross Bloodstock for £50,000.

Leading first season sire Mehmas accounted for the next two highest priced yearlings, headed by a brother to Listed winner Just Sherry from the family of 2000 Guineas winner Cockney Rebel, Lot 570 consigned by Kilmoney Cottage Stud, who was knocked down to the day’s leading buyers BBA Ireland at £47,000.

Eddie Lynam later secured a daughter of Mehmas, an own-sister to a two-year-old winner this season in Fools Rush In (Lot 609), from Grange Hill Stud for £44,000.

Lynn Lodge Stud’s Kodiac colt out of the Listed winning Andry Brusselles, Lot 496, was another stand out, as the own-brother to recent 2yo winner Lady Hayes sold for £40,000 to Aidan O’Ryan and Phil Makin Racing.
