BHA PRESS RELEASE - Update for trainers: Notice of changes to Staff Declaration Process for racecourse attendance
From Friday 18 September, several changes will be made to how trainers declare staff to attend the racecourse using Racing Admin, which aim to improve and simplify the process, following feedback from trainers and staff.
The main changes being introduced are: – A new Declare Staff area on Racing Admin, where you will be able to see the staff declared for each fixture, including their:
Health status (green / amber / red)
Questionnaire status for that fixture (sent / completed / not sent)
Questionnaire Last Completed date (to help calculate a 7-day validity)
– The ability to declare staff immediately after making a declaration to run, up until 1pm on the day of declaration
– Health screening questionnaires will be sent within 30 minutes of staff declarations (if less than 48 hours before the fixture).
You will continue to receive a communication once runners are published, advising you of the requirement to declare staff, and a follow-up email after the 1pm declaration deadline confirming the staff you have selected to attend the fixture.
Help and support
To support trainers with these changes, we are producing a full user guide, which will explain the new features and provide a step by step process of how to declare your staff.
This will be shared with you later this week, prior to the changes coming into effect on Friday 18 September.
Live Webinar – Wednesday 16 September at 1.30pm
We will also be hosting a live webinar on Wednesday 16 September at 1.30pm, which will demonstrate the new features and give you an opportunity to ask questions.
You can join the Zoom webinar on Wednesday by clicking on the link below prior to 1.30pm and inputting the passcode when requested.
There is no requirement to register your attendance in advance.
If you are unable to join live, the demonstration will be recorded and made available to you to watch.
In the meantime, please continue to follow the existing staff declaration process and, if you have any queries, contact the BHA COVID Helpdesk:
