Notice of an Appeal (H. Doyle) to be heard by the Disciplinary Panel on Tuesday 28 September

27/09/2021 @ 13:40:00 9.30 am - Hollie Doyle

The independent Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority will convene on Tuesday 28 September 2021 to hear an Appeal brought by Hollie Doyle, rider of MOUNTAIN ASH (IRE), against the decision of the Stewards at Kempton Park on 17 September 2021.

Following the racingtv.com Handicap Stakes (Class 6) (DIV II), an enquiry was held to consider interference 6½ furlongs out involving MOUNTAIN ASH (IRE), placed second, ridden by Hollie Doyle; the winner, POET'S EYE, ridden by Saffie Osborne; and APPRECIATE (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Jack Mitchell. Doyle was suspended for 7 days for careless riding as she had allowed her mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear, resulting in POET'S EYE being carried off its intended line and Osborne and Mitchell having to take a considerable check, resulting in APPRECIATE (IRE) making contact with the rail.
